The Oppo Find X9 Ultra Camera

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is one of the most camera-focused flagship phones of 2026, and after reviewing OPPO’s official specifications and recent reviews, it belongs in a category alongside phones that compete on processor or screen specs.

Here is what it’s actually like having the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.

Shooting with the Find X9 Ultra

Camera: This phone may feel a little bulky, at 236 grams. It has a large, circular camera bump on the back, made of eco-leather. Oppo even added a subtle orange accent to the power button as a nod to Hasselblad’s iconic design. It looks expensive, at nearly £1,450.

This is what makes the Find X9 Ultra interesting. It has about 5 high-quality cameras with different focal lengths. The 0.6x ultra-wide camera (50MP) is for wide landscapes, such as buildings, and group photos. The 1x main camera (200MP) is for everyday photos. The 3x telephoto (200MP) captures distant subjects. You can be far away from someone and still get a detailed shot with good exposure. Portraits, food, and close-up photos also work best at 3x. For even more reach, there’s the 10x ultra-periscope (50MP) for distant shots. At 10x, gestures become noticeable, even something as small as your hands shaking while trying to capture. So, to capture at 10x, timing and having a steady hand are essential. Finally, 20x+ is for capturing something really far away.

Video: This is where the Oppo Find Ultra is particularly strong; the video quality is excellent. All 5 cameras can record 4K60 Dolby Vision HDR, offering greater dynamic range and richer display, while the 200MP cameras can record at 4K120, which is great for slow-motion effects. The main camera also supports 8K at 30 fps.

One of the most exciting video features is the ability to zoom while recording. It lets you record at different focal lengths and distances. The front camera (50MP) supports 4K at 60 fps, which is better for creators than a front camera limited to 1080p.

The Highs and Lows of the Oppo X9 Ultra

The Highs:

  1. Camera: This is one of the best reasons to own one. With all 5 cameras combined, you get more flexibility than most phones.
  • Battery: The massive 7,050 mAh battery uses silicon-carbon. You can use it all day, take hundreds of pictures, and stream videos for hours, and you’ll still have 40% battery left.
  • Charging is very fast: When it gets low, plugging it into the 100W charger takes it from flat to nearly full in less than 30 minutes.
  • Fantastic Screen: The screen is a beautiful, buttery-smooth 144Hz panel that stays bright enough to read clearly even in direct midday sunlight. The screen is also about a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED and is great for Netflix, YouTube, gaming, editing, and more.
  • It is fast: With the Snapdragon 8 Elite present, you won’t be struggling with lag from apps and demanding games.
  • It is great for content creation

The Lows:

  • It is quite bulky at around 235 g
  •  The camera bump is big
  • It can sometimes get heated with multiple uses
  • You’ll need to get charger accessories compatible with the 100W to get the best charging experience

The Final Word

After reviewing and testing the Find X9 Ultra, I would consider it one of the best all-round Android flagships of 2026 and, if photography is your priority, one of the best choices. Multiple independent reviews place its camera system at or near the very top, with DXOMARK currently ranking it third overall at 170 points.
It isn’t perfect, but what you’re getting in return, particularly the camera system, is truly exceptional.

And the strongest reason to choose the X9 Ultra over another flagship is that OPPO has given you several genuinely useful cameras rather than one excellent camera and 4 bad ones.
