The new AirTag is packed with Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip the same tech found in the iPhone 17 and Apple Watch Ultra 3.
- 50% More Range: You can now use “Precision Finding” (the arrows that point you to your item) from much further away.
- 60-Meter Reach: On supported devices like the iPhone 15 and 17, your range for finding items is now nearly 200 feet (60 meters).
- Upgraded Bluetooth: Even without the fancy arrows, the basic Bluetooth signal is stronger, making it easier for your phone to “hear” the tag in the background.
